Rita Raye Vivian McLaurin

Rita Raye Vivian Talley was born to John & Maude Talley on June 21, 1929 in Richland Springs, TX. She was the eighth child of ten. She grew up in Richland Springs, graduating from Richland Springs High School in 1949.

In the Summer of 1948, Rita met the love of her life, Pat McLaurin, while visiting her sister Alva in Crane, Tx. They were married on September 10, 1949, beginning a beautiful Christian life together which would span 67 years, living 2 years in Abilene, TX, 8 years in Fort Worth, TX, 14 years in Midland, TX, 5 years in Spring, TX and the remainder of their lives in Plano, TX. They were lifetime faithful members of the Church of Christ, worshipping for many years with the Spring Creek Church of Christ in Plano, TX

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, John & Maude Talley, husband Pat C. McLaurin, siblings Alva Atchison, Garland Talley, Grace Phillips , Lynn Talley, Lillie Moore, Thurman Talley, Leora Treadwell, Johnnie Talley and Joyce Talley.

Pat and Rita were wonderful Christian parents and are survived by their three children: Kathy (Moss) Peterson and husband Darwin of Garland, TX, Alan McLaurin and wife Judy of Albuquerque, NM, Wade McLaurin of Kingwood TX, Daughter- in- Law Debbie McLaurin of Allen, TX. Pat and Rita have eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Moss) Sananikone and husband Amphone of Plano, TX, Shelly (Moss) Goff of Garland, TX, K C McLaurin of Frisco, TX, Lauren (McLaurin) Qualls of Albuquerque, NM, Matthew Moss and wife Laura of Dallas, TX, Taylor McLaurin of Conroe, TX, Katie McLaurin of Allen, TX, and Mitchell McLaurin of Richardson, TX. They were blessed with 12 great grandchildren.
