

Sean was a man of many sides and talents. On any given day you could find him working construction or landscaping, playing in a band or mixing music in his home recording studio. Sean was a self taught and accomplished musician and an expert in computers. An avid football fan you could always find Sean sporting a San Diego baseball cap. Sean’s dream was to own his own recording studio.
As a young boy Sean played many sports, loved WWF, but most of all loved the ocean and being in it. With a strong Marine Corps family background, he attended the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas his sophomore year. Sean was a 2002 Graduate of The Colony High School where he played varsity football and hockey.
Following high school graduation he lived for several years in Oceanside, California and graduated with an Associates of Arts degree from Mira Costa College. He surfed, worked and went to school, but music was his passion. He played and recorded with the bands “Confined to Solitude” and “Medius”. His favorite hangout was the Lamp Post in Vista, California, where he had many good and dear friends.
He returned to The Colony, Texas to continue his audio recording career. He managed and mixed music at a variety of Clubs, but his favorites were “Chaucer’s” and “T’s”. At Chaucer’s he met the love of his life, Serena Preston of Wylie, Texas. They were engaged to be married in October 2010.
Sean is survived by his mother, Pamela Garcia and husband Raul, of The Colony, TX; father, William Rohlfs, Jr. and wife Paula, of Oceanside, CA; brother, Kyle Rohlfs of The Colony, TX; Step sister, Christina Garcia of Amarillo, TX; maternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Capatosto of Plano, TX; paternal grandfather, William Rohlfs Sr. of Largo, FL; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends and fellow musicians that meant the world to him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Interment will follow at the Frankford Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 17, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
