With deep sadness, the family shares the news of the passing of Susila Ebenezer on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the age of 77. She was the wife of Samuel Jebamoney and loving mother of Savithri, Solomon, Simeon, and Lavanya. Proud grandmother of Meshach, Sharon, Luke, Hanson, Lloyd, Stina, and Lester.
She was a high school math teacher at St. John’s Vestry Higher Secondary School where she tirelessly mentored students for more than 20 years. Including raising her children and teaching, her other passion included gardening. She loved spending time outside growing roses and a variety of vegetables. Even during her retirement, she remained a woman of action. She was an active member of her church community by participating in the choir and leading and organizing Bible competitions.
She moved to America in December of 2019 with her husband where she enjoyed spending time with her family for several more years. Her favorite American food had to be French fries! She loved trivia, playing bingo, and listening to worship music.
She was quick to serve her friends, neighbors, and family without a second thought. Her laughter was contagious, and she will be missed and loved by all. Her favorite verse in the Bible was Jeremiah 31:3, which talks about the unending and faithful love of God. There is momentary sadness, but because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross and the gift of salvation He offers, the family eagerly awaits to see her again in heaven one day.
