Todd and I were best friends growing up together. He was my brother and Keith and Nadine were my second set of parents. My wife and I were in Wyoming on the anniversary of Todd's passing and I thought of Todd as gazed at the Grand Tetons and wondered at the beauty of God's amazing touch. I love and miss you buddy.

On this day, one year ago, Todd went to be with his Lord.  Our family was not ready for him to go, and we have missed him every day.  He fought a valiant battle and never gave up, always saying he was "doing great" when you asked how he was feeling. We love you Todd and know you are in a wonderful place where you have received the ultimate healing.

C.R.E.S. Management worked with Todd on several projects in the Apartment Industry.  Not only was a Vendor for us, but we were also friends.  So sad to learn this news.  Todd will be missed by many.

Todd was one of my best friends in high school.  He and I had our lockers next to each and that is how we became friends.  I had great respect for Todd because he was both athletic and smart. I always thought highly of Todd for he was genuinely kind and gentle.  He was also strong in his faith, which I greatly admired. Ever since I heard the news about Todd, I haven't stopped thinking about him.  It has taken me about a month to gather my thoughts of what to say about him because I have been so grief-stricken about my dear high school friend.   A flood of memories have been enveloping me.  The following are just a few of the memories, and I am sure I will continue to have more in the days to come.  I remember when Jessica was born.  We couldn't believe that Todd was going to have a little sister, and we teased him a bit about that, which he took in stride.  I remember passing through Texas on my way to graduate school in New Mexico and staying with Todd at his parents' house.  I remember him being such a nice host.  He asked me what I wanted to see while I was in the Dallas area.  I mentioned I would like to visit the South Fork ranch or Dealy Plaza or the Galleria shopping mall.  I assumed he would pick one place to show me.  But, being the kind and generous soul he was, he took me to all three places!  I'll never forget that.  I think the last time I saw Todd was right after Spencer was born.  My parents had moved to Waco and I wanted to visit him and his family before I left Texas.  After that we lost touch with each other.  I have been living in Norman, Oklahoma for the past 17 years, and if I had only known that Todd was an OU football fan and Spencer was a student at OU, I would have reached out so we could get together after an OU home football game and reminisce.   Spencer and Sydney, if you ever want to know what your father was like, just ask any of his high school classmates.  Those of us from U-High always had great respect and admiration for your Dad.  Kim, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of the family.   I am very blessed to have had Todd Fred in my life and for whom I am enormously honored to have called my friend.

My deepest sympathy goes to all of Todd's family & friends! I am so saddened to hear of his passing, along with his illness leading up to it.
I went to high school with Todd-He was always smiling, always friendly, always kind, willing to help & of course always smart in every subject! Whenever I'd think of Todd I'd remember the time we were paired up with each other on our prom court-(lining up for the king & queen announcement & the "prom court member's" dance.) Todd & I kept cracking each other up, taking turns making goofy faces at one another, it ended up that not one picture taken turned out of us because of this. He could always make you smile & feel better in even his quietest way.
We hadn't seen or talked since the summer after graduation but I always new he'd excel at whatever he chose to do. Looking through the photo's just confirms it....A happy, loving family & home, fun traveling adventures, close friends, sharing his love of sports, education, with those he cared about, etc.
I hope these wonderful memories & the time you've shared help to comfort you through difficult times.....I know I am grateful to have known Todd. 
You will continue to be in my thoughts & prayers.

Todd and I went to high school together and lockers were assigned alphabetically so our lockers were always pretty close together.  Todd was a friend to everyone and he truly was one of the nicest, kindest, and sweetest boys in high school in a time when it was "cool" and popular to be mean and obnoxious.
The David Gibson award is the most elite award given to the most outstanding senior boy at U-High.  The annual recipient is selected by a panel on personal character, leadership, citizenship (school/community work), service (clubs, activities, athletics).  In May 1981, I was sitting in the senior section of Stroud Auditorium near Todd during the awards assembly.  The finale of the awards assembly is the announcement of which senior boy was selected to receive the David Gibson award.  Todd had no idea that his name was going to be called.  He was so unassuming and humble.  I still remember his expression as his stood up in our aisle and walked to the podium receive his honor in front of the entire high school body of students and faculty.  There couldn't have been a better selection from of our class; the panel picked the perfect young man to receive this accolade.
Now honestly, I hadn't seen Todd since those days that we experienced the last three big events of senior year:  awards assembly, class night, and graduation.  Thirty-four years have passed. I had heard that Todd settled in Plano after college, married, had children, and had become a very successful business man.  It didn't surprise me that he had done well in life, and I was happy that he had earned a good life that he deserved.
But on Monday when I heard about Todd had taken his journey to heaven, I was shocked.  I was heartbroken.  I cried tears of sorrow.  My husband even asked what was going on as I hadn't seen nor spoken to this fellow for 34 years.  I hugged my four-year-old son extra hard when I picked him up from preschool, and we laid out in the grass when we got home and watched the clouds float by in the beautiful blue fall sky.  I thanked God for the glorious day and all the tender mercies that He had bestowed on me.
And then I realized that Todd was still inspiring me to do my best, to appreciate each and every day, and to reach for limitless possibilities that we are given.  I am a far better person for knowing Todd Fred. Even in death, Todd is a witness to faith.

I am so sad to hear about Todd's passing. He went through so much after his transplant but always had such a great attitude. I really admired him for his outlook on life and the fact that he NEVER stopped working! More times than not, he was on the phone or his laptop-he didn't let anything stop him.  The pictures you shared show just how fun loving he was. I enjoyed taking care of him and getting to know you.  -Hugs-

Todd was a basketball teammate and friend in high school.  We lost touch when his family moved, but he was always a kind and fun loving guy.  Many of his high school classmates have been sharing this terribly sad news, but also very fond memories, of our times together.

While I only new Todd for a short time, it was easy to see that he was a good person, a great employee, and a good family man.  We will miss him.  Our thoughts and prayers go to the Fred family.

If ever we believed that angels walked among us...it was because of Todd.  There was no way to ever repay him for the graciousness he extended towards our young & struggling family many years ago, & we can only hope that he understood from what we extended in return how much we truly appreciated him...we most certainly will "pay it forward" in your name Todd. Prayers of strength & peace for the family.
