Albert V. Soto, age 73, of Delano, California passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Albert was born in San Bernardino, California, and has been a resident of Delano his entire life. Albert was a hard-working father who worked in the oil fields for many years, teaching his children the values of strength and hard work. He was a beloved member of the community, know for his passion for coaching, through which he touched the lives of countless individuals. Many in the community remember him not only as a coach but as a mentor and role model. Albert was also a proud Marine, having served his country with honor and dedication. He was a godfather to many, which speaks volumes about his character and the trust people placed in him. Albert had a huge heart: he was outgoing, loving and a jokester, always willing to help those in need at a moment's notice. He was not only a loving father and grandfather but also a great friend to many. He will be greatly missed, and the memories of him will live with us forever. On june 26, 2024, heaven gained an angel who will be looking over us all.
Albert is survived by his daughters Lisa Rodriguez, and Julie Enriquez; and his son Albert Soto Jr.; his grandchildren Adrian Enriquez, Jasmin Martinez, Armando Martinez, Jade Flores, Anthony Enriquez, Daryn, Dason, and Avy Soto.
Albert was preceded in death by his father Francisco Ramirez; his mother Marina Ramirez and his biological mother Teresa Medina, as well as many brothers and sister.
Mr. Soto also leaves his great-grandchild, Dominik Enriquez and siblings Carmen Soto, Sussette Elliot and Charlie Medina
A visitation for Albert will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A rosary will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Parish, 916 Lexington St., Delano, CA 93215. A committal services will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at North Kern Cemetery District, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers are Albert Soto Jr., Armando Martinez, Andy Rodriguez, Adrian "Mister" Enriquez, David Elliot, Alfonso Romero, Oscar Leon, Gabriel Herrera, Eric Schroeter and Pete Vasquez.
