Dolores Elizabeth Tamsi 1941 - 2010 On September 27th 1941, Dolores Elizabeth Tamsi was born in Chicago, Illinois to Charles Arnold Bock and Muriel Josephine Walker. She has gone to prepare her mansion in Heaven. On June 26, 2010 she passed unexpectedly in Delano. Her visitation and informal viewing will be held at Lane Family Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday July 1st. Her burial service will be held at the North Kern Christian Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. She was a woman of distinction. She will be remembered as the most giving, kind hearted, God loving and thoughtful person that sacrificed whatever necessary to take care of her family and loved ones. Dolores married her first husband in Winter Haven, CA, Marcelo S. Tamsi on November 21, 1957. With this marriage she was blessed with 3 stepchildren: Jim Tamsi, Raymond Tamsi and Katrina Tamsi Espinoza. Dolores and Marcelo, (whom she lovingly referred to as "Tommy") had 6 children together: Edward Tamsi, Susan Tamsi Melendrez, Janice Tamsi Guerrero, Tina Tamsi Paca, Catherine Tamsi Martinez and Thomas Tamsi. They lived in Delano most of their lives where Tommy worked as a Crew Boss for various Grape Farmers until the age of 82. Dolores for the most part chose the very challenging career of an immaculate homemaker. She was well known for her desire for cleanliness, involvement with her churches and excellent care of her children. She was also an animal lover, spending small fortunes at the local veterinarian on injured or sick strays that she constantly rescued. As her children grew Dolores began work as a food server and later a home care provider. She would become very close to her elderly and often terminally ill clients. She took peace in knowing that she positively touched their lives before they passed on. She and Tommy divorced after 19 years. She remarried George Terro and gave birth to her youngest child George Terro Jr. They divorced a few years later and Dolores spent the remainder of her life focusing on becoming the best Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and even Great, Great Grandmother in the world. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Muriel; by her first husband and true love of her life, Marcelo (Tommy) Tamsi; and grandson, Curtis Ray Tamsi. She is survived by her brother, Leroy McHone; sister, Nancy Lee Tangkengko and her youngest sister, Patricia Louise Singh. She was happy to be survived by all 10 of her beloved children, 39 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. Her departure has hurt us deeply but we have great peace in the understanding that one day we will see her again waiting with open arms, in her immaculate mansion in Heaven.
