Dominador Santos Popoy, age 87, of Earlimart, California passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020. Dominador is survived by his beloved wife, Erlinda Popoy, his 5 children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Chrisner Patao who passed away in 2015.
Dominador was born July 31, 1933 on Clark Air Base in Pampanga, Philippines. He immigrated to the Unites States in 1966 following his WWII Veteran father and brothers in search of a better life for him and his family. His wife and children followed a few years later. He spent most of his life as a farmworker in the Central Valley and instilled in his loved ones the values of hard work, pride, and family. Dominador was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, God-Father, and Friend to many. His home was a welcome place where family and friends often gathered to celebrate and break bread. He was generous, protective, and well-respected by everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
