Kristina Michelle Castro

Kristina (Kristi) Michelle Castro, 63, of Delano, CA went to be with her Lord on April 17, 2025. Kristina was born in Bakersfield, CA on April 10, 1962, to Patricia Ann Aquino. She spent her entire childhood and high school years in Delano and attended Cecil Avenue Junior High School and Delano High School where she graduated with her class in 1980. After high school, Kristi attended the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, where she lived for most of her adult life.

Kristi loved to play the clarinet and played for her Junior High, High School, and College Bands. Kristi worked as a bookkeeper for most of her life, but her true love was for music. Her love of music and love of her church led her to work with the Celebrant Singers, where she met many lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time with her mother, who was also her traveling companion for many wonderful trips. The two of them loved taking trips to Morro Bay and Cayucos, Puerto Vallarta, and Las Vegas, especially if IL Divo was in concert.

Kristi loved her Los Angeles Dodgers and attended many games at Dodger Stadium. She was proud of the fact that Dodger Stadium opened on April 10, 1962, which was the day she was born. Kristi also had a deep love for her family. Her family home was the gathering place for many Thanksgivings, and she would often mention how special those memories of having everyone together were to her. Kristi loved her lord and would attend church faithfully. Kristi was preceded in death by her Papa Laurence Aquino and her grandmother Nina Aquino, and her mother, Patricia Aquino. She is survived by numerous cousins and many close friends.
