Luz Elena Gonzalez went home to be with her Lord on June 10, 2014 with her loving children by her side. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Monday June 16, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Delano Mortuary, 707 Browning Road, Delano. Mass will be offered Tuesday June, 17 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1015 Clinton St. with interment to follow at North Kern Cemetery in Delano.
Luz was last employed by Golden Gem Almonds and prior to that she was employed by Perelli-Minetti Winery for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her mother Maria Arredondo Palma, sisters Rosa Garza and Maria Palma. She is survived by her children Lucy (Manuel) Bustamante of Delano and Robert (Diana) Gonzalez of San Diego and her grandson Gabriel that she adored with all of her heart: her brother Guillermo Palma (Cruz) of Woodland and Engracia Cabello of Concord.
