Mercuria B. Picar, a beloved resident of Delano, California, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 17, 1935, Mercuria lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Mercuria is survived by her devoted sons: Lewelyn Picar (Leticia), Nelson Picar (Nenita), Wayne Picar (Prescilla), Judy Picar (Chona), Merlino Picar (Floridel), and Paul Picar (Jimmely). She also leaves behind her siblings: Serelina Bareng, Presentacion Ramboanga, Honorata Echave, Jackson Baltazar, and Henry Baltazar. Her grandchildren—Michelle, Michael Anthony, Melissa Ashley, Princess Ryan, Christine Joy, Gaylord, Brenna Lynn, Marcus Alexander Wayne Jr., Justin James, Hannah, Ceejay, Rhica Mae, Jodi Caitlin, Kim, Louis, Mike, Aya, Given, Jericho, and Ivanka—along with her great-grandchildren—Mason Valen, Grayson King, Dean Izyk, Aeris, Zackhari, Geero Kayden, Giara Kayleen, Gio Kayson, Zyler, and Isaiah Louis—will forever hold her in their hearts.
A visitation will be held on February 20, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, located at 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215-9747. A prayer service will take place at 5:00 pm on the same day at the same location.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Holy Redeemer Full Gospel Church, located at 1229 Glenwood St., Delano, CA 93215. Following this, a committal service will occur from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at North Kern Cemetery District, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Mercuria's family expresses their deepest gratitude for the love and support extended during this time. Pallbearers honoring her memory will be Lewelyn Picar, Nelson Picar, Wayne Picar, Judy Picar, Merlino Picar, and Paul Picar.
