Enid Winifred Davis, 98, of Singer, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was born to her late parents, George and Alice Sheppard on March 30, 1924 in Bristol, England. Enid moved to the United States when she married her late husband, Charlie Davis. In her younger years, she worked for George Theriot's Grocery Store in DeQuincy for many years. In her free time, she loved to do crossword puzzles and kept her mind sharp even in her later years.
She left to cherish her daughter, MaMa Carol Mock; sons, Michael Davis of Singer, Louisiana and John Davis of Orange, Texas; sister, Eileen Parker of Bristol, England; along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Enid is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Davis; parents; along with her brother George Sheppard.
A Celebration of Enid's life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Kyle VanWinkle officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Friday, beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields, Louisiana.
