Jeanette Marie Daigre Guidry, 68 passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 peacefully in her sleep.
She loved being with her grandchildren, loved to read, was an avid fan of Saints and LSU Football, and enjoyed watching “Dancing WithTheStars.”She is retired after 13 years from the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office.
She is survived by her three children, Tina O’Bannon and husband Frankie of DeQuincy; Daniel “Boo” Bailey, Jr. and wife Alice of Dry Creek and Dale Lagarosse and husband Paul of DeQuincy; two sisters, Lottie Bailey of Dry Creek and Jimmie Mae Mahe of Tylertown, MS. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Jamie Medice, Bridgeit Stassi, Christina Butler, Kenneth O’Bannon, Kelsey O’Bannon, Charlie O’Bannon, Abigail O’Bannon, Aiden Lagarosse, Sadie Lagarosse, Skyler Lagarosse, Zane Lagarosse, and Arya Lagarosse, along with seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Gilbert Guidry, Jr., her parents Maurice and Opal Daigre, and brother, Maurice “Buster” Daigre, Jr.
Services will be at Shiloh Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Visitation will also be at the church on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and will resume on Saturday at 11:00am until the time of service.
