

Jimmie was a resident of DeQuincy. He was a Fire Safety Officer for 37 years at Cit Con, an instructor who taught at LSU, Texas A&M and the Local Ward 6 Fire Department. His hobbies were the Fire Department, exploring the mountains of Wyoming, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed his numerous trips to Wyoming, his dogs, his bull Willie and especially time spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Jeraline Warden Pearson; sons, Ben Pearson and wife Angela, Jake Pearson, and Gerald Smith and wife Carolyn; daughters, Renee Lopez and husband Michael, Beverly Duhon and husband Lastie, Sara Conrad and husband Greg, Angie Touchstone and husband Gary and Valerie Parker; sisters, Debra Smith and husband Michael of DeRidder, Diane Bednarek of Houston; sister in law, Sue Palmer of DeQuincy; brother in laws, David "Red" Warden of DeQuincy and Elbert Warden of Bancroft; aunt, Johnette Reeves of Dog Patch, Ark.; grandchildren, Tyrel, Chet, Nicholas, Bret, Treasure, Laiken, Peyton, Ethan, Ross, Riley, Kalie, Kayden and Colt; and great granddaughter, Alexis Lopez, Also best friend Tim Gilland and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lois (McKnight) Pearson and sisters, Lavergne Fast and Melba Fontenot.
His funeral service will be at 2:00pm Friday, October 2, 2015 in First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy with Pastor Carlie Jackson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 1, from 4:00pm until 9:00pm in Hixson Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy and resume on Friday from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
