Richard "Ricky" Wayne Perkins, 50, of Singer, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Sulphur. He was born on October 31, 1970 in Lafayette, LA. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and anything on the water, especially Jet Skis. He loved his family, especially playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Amy Perkins; his mother, Gloria Williams of Sulphur; sons, Michael Perkins of DeQuincy, Alstin Perkins (Haley) of Vinton, Josh Perkins of Westlake, Grady Perkins and his twin sister, Gracie Perkins, both of Sulphur, Austin Benson (Stephanie) of Singer, Josh Bankens of Sulphur; daughters, Kasey Jackson (Seth) of DeQuincy, Brielley Perkins of Oretta, Jordan Cooper (William) of Singer, Danielle Benson of Singer; brothers, Tommy Perkins (Stephanie) of Singer, Scotty Perkins of Sulphur, Johnny Wayne Perkins, Jr. (Tammy) of DeQuincy, Gary Lynn Perkins of Orange, TX; sister, Becky Perkins of Sulphur; along with numerous grandchildren.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Perkins, Sr; along with three sisters, Kristi Ellis, Kim Tompkins, and Cara Jean.
A Celebration of Ricky's life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:00am, with Bro. Donnis Ashworth officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Sunday, December 13, 2020, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, from 8:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oretta Cemetery.
