Carlene Frances Shooltz

Carlene Shooltz, age 82, went to be with her Heavenly Father August 19, 2020. Carlene was born December 15, 1937 to the late Carlton and Frances (Darling) Fuller. She grew up in Lake Odessa along with her two brothers, the late David Fuller and Robert Fuller.

She met and married the love of her life, Clifford Shooltz, on October 31, 1959 and they have been together for 61 years. Together they raised their three children, Gary, Debbie and Joseph, in DeWitt, MI and still reside in the family home.

Carlene worked at Sparrow Hospital for 33 years in many different areas. At the time of retirement, she was in accounts payable. After retirement, she traveled to Europe, Alaska and Hawaii and many places around the U.S. She was very involved with her church, volunteering for different activities, making many friends that she loved and adored. Family was everything for Carlene. She was the most supportive and loving person who loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Shooltz; her children, Gary (Barb) Shooltz, Debbie (Enrique) Gonzalez, Joseph (Betsy) Shooltz; grandchildren, Terri (Brian) Mapes, Brian (Michelle) Shooltz, Jeff, Shooltz, Manny Gonzalez, Michele (Crystal) Story, Quinn (Krystal) Shooltz, Conor Shooltz, Tyler Shooltz and Travis Shooltz and many great-grands and great-great grands. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Patricia) Fuller.
