David Parks

Died August 17, 2012 at the age of 70. David was born October 21, 1941 in Lansing, MI to Porter and Rosalyn (Morgan) Parks. He worked for 30 years at General Motors as an experimental engineer machinist. He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at their breakfast club. He was a devoted husband for 50 years to his beloved wife, Linda. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife; daughter Corrie (Dennis) Klaver, son James (Dawn) Parks; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and five sisters. Services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of DeWitt, 11068 S. DeWitt Road, with the Rev. Dan Wilkinson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt, MI, and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
