Donald Charles Weeks, our treasured loving spouse, father, and grandfather was unexpectedly taken from us Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 in a tragic vehicle/motorcycle accident.

Don was an incredibly hard-working, talented business owner who mastered his masonry trade over a 40 year career. He built an exceptional reputation within the Mid-Michigan construction community. He also custom built two of his family’s homes and worked tirelessly for the benefit of his family. His generosity extended to all he encountered. Don’s warm-hearted free spirit, jovial personality, and contagious smile will be remembered.

Don loved spending his free time on the road, riding his Harley Davidsons, but undoubtedly his greatest passion in life was time spent with his family and grandchildren. A devoted spouse, father and grandfather, Don’s legacy will be cherished and carried on by those he loved most, his wife of over 42 years, Amy (Spitzley); his four children: Jamie (Marc) Corsoneti, Dan (Jill Remenar), John (Sarah Corr), and Paul (Stephanie Oberg) Weeks; and eight grandchildren: Lucas, Alaina, Alivia, Ayden, Giovanna, Isabella, Viviana, and newborn Alice (namesake of Don’s mother).

We feel truly blessed to have experienced life with Don, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor, and friend. Don was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice (Dunckel) Weeks, and survived by siblings Nancy (Richard) Page, Linda (Michael) Dickson, and Michael (Kathy) Weeks.

The family will receive friends Thursday June 8 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington Street, DeWitt, followed by the Commemoration at 1:00 pm.
