Douglas Dingeldey

Douglas Andrew Dingeldey, born January 14, 1964 to Jacob and Mary (Zeiher) Dingeldey, passed away July 24, 2013. Doug was a devoted husband and father. For 24 years he worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections and retired as a deputy prison warden. He was preceded in death by his sister Teresa Dingeldey. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Monique (Zurek); daughters, Madison and Miranda; his parents; and sister, Carol (Ben) Chafin. A funeral mass will be celebrated for him at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St. in DeWitt, with Rev. Robert Irish presiding. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt and one hour prior to mass on Monday at church. A Scripture Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
