Drew Curtis Dykhuizen

Drew Curtis Dykhuizen, born December 13, 1984 to Curt and Susan Lynne (Andrews) Dykhuizen, passed away August 23, 2013 at the age of 28. Drew graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2003. He enjoyed music, hiking, backpacking, traveling and photography. He had a great mind and was known as a deep thinker. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews, with great devotion. Drew was compassionate, genuine and sincere, with a great love for people, especially little kids. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2008 and grandparents, Lyle and Ann Dykhuizen. Surviving to cherish his memory are his father; brother, Cory (Stacy); sister, Summer (Andy) Kruse; grandparents, Robert and Theola Andrews; niece and nephews, Jacob, Selah, Caden and Kolten Dykhuizen and Oliver Kruse; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, at Mt. Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Road in Lansing. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt, and one hour before the service on Friday at church. In memory of Drew Dykhuizen, those desiring to make contributions to the "Uncle Drew's Nieces' and Nephews' Scholarship Fund" should make them payable to "Curt Dykhuizen."
