Gail J. Coon

Lansing, MI

Born July 23, 1947, in Lansing; died March 8, 2011, at the age of 63. Gail had retired from the State of Michigan, and in keeping with her caring and giving nature, was a longtime member and leader in the Sundowner Civitan Club. Gail had a very strong and persevering character as evidenced in her ability to overcome the numerous challenges brought upon by her arthritis. Her quick wit, great sense of humor, and general good nature brought much joy to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Quentin Coon. Surviving are her mother, Evelyn Coon; brothers, Everett (Laura) Coon, Stuart (Cindy) Coon; and sister, Ilene (Colleen Dale) Coon. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter, 17117 W.
