Irene Marie Brown

Irene Marie Brown, age 76, died of natural causes in her home in St. Johns, Michigan on December 4, 2015. Irene is survived by five children, Diane Brown Kirkpatrick, Wendy Svok (Brian), Lori Babcock (Harry), Jeanette Colburn, and Jeffery Brown. She is also survived by one brother, Gilbert Fisher (Barb); 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Jill Koutz, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Brown; her son, Donald W. Brown, Jr.; son-in-law, Ray Kirkpatrick; parents Genevieve Fisher Wetherall and Austin Fisher; sisters, Nada Brown and Edna Pardee; and brothers, Junior Fisher and Donald Fisher. Irene was born on July 28, 1939, in Midland, MI. Her life's ambition was working for the Lord; she devoted herself by planning and going on many mission trips for the Lord. Her life was devoted to God and His son, Jesus Christ. Her faith and dedication to the Lord is the legacy that she leaves behind for those she loved. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel at 11:00 am. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Her body will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing with a reception to follow at Westbay Club Apartments, 300 Western Ave., Lansing 48917. Mr. Richard Koutz will officiate.
