James Stephen Stetz

DeWitt, MI

Age 68, died September 4, 2011; born February 1, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Known affectionately to family and friends as Jim, he was a loving husband who enjoyed spending time at home with his wife and his 2 dogs, Niki and Happy. Jim also loved to fish and enjoyed spending time with his many friends at the pub. He served his country in the US Air Force, during the Vietnam War. Jim was a quiet man who enjoyed observing his family with great pride. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son, Jeffrey (Holly); 2 grandchildren, Lucas and Eli; special friends, Gordon (Angela) Gallagher and their son, Jacob. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, at Noon at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt. Interment will follow in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, MI. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Friday from 10:00 AM until Noon. Those desiring may make contributions to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W.
