“MUM”
Lansing, MI
Jennie Mae Henderson, was born January 29, 1928 in Winn, MI to Harley and Eula Elizabeth (Allen) Riggle.
She passed away at the age of 84, January 27, 2013, after many courageous battles with cancer throughout her life. She was truly our hero.
Jennie met the love of her life Harry on a blind date. They fell in love, had two children, and were side by side for 65 enchanted years of marriage. She was the honored Riggle Family matriarch, a dedicated wife, a gentle, nurturing and loving mother and grandmother. Jennie’s greatest passion was her family and cared for them as only she could with her soft, loving touch and warm smile. She enjoyed the holidays never missing an opportunity to decorate or celebrate! She loved dancing, talking on the telephone, visiting Grand Haven, maintaining impeccable family records and was always most content at her home of 54 years. Jennie enjoyed the time she shared with her co-workers at Michigan Millers Insurance Company and later at CATA. However, her favorite job was the many years she spent as a stay at home mom. “Mum” could always be found close to her granddaughters’side with a twinkle in her eye. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her and will be remembered for her endless love and strength. Thank you God for sharing your best with us!
