Born January 3, 1941 to Daniel and Laura Ward in Charlotte, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the age of 69. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Sue Stuer, and brothers, Glenn and Orrin. He is survived by his loving wife Karen; daughter, Kelly Jo (Brian) Alicea; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Dean Stuer, Ryan Keith Alicea, Erin Marie Alicea; 1 great granddaughter, Mia Michelle Taetsch-Stuer; 1 brother Dale Ward; 3 sisters, Jane Chase, Nellie (Tom) Dilliner, and Dorothy Black; and brother-in-law, Tom “Buzz” (Nan) Hoisington. Larry was a graduate of Charlotte High School and was married in 1962. He was a former employee of Warner and Swasey, and retired after many years at GM Oldsmobile. One of Larry’s favorite hobbies was raising racer and roller pigeons. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with Rev. Curt W. Dalaba of First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing Church officiating . The family will receive friends at the DeWitt Chapel on Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
