DeWitt, MI
Manning was born in Geneva, IL on September 5, 1967 to Kenneth and Marcia (Sponholtz) Larson and died unexpectedly Monday in DeWitt, MI at the age of 44. He worked for Northern Pump and Well Co., a trade he learned while working with his father in the Chicago area. He was well known in the water-well business. Manning was the kind of person you wanted to know and be around. He was the first one to greet you with a handshake when you entered the room. He was always ready and willing to help those in need and would give you the shirt off his back. Manning had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. He was a devout Christian and seemed to know everyone. Manning was an amazing father “the best in the world”. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Marcia Larson. Manning leaves to treasure his memory, his loving wife, Jennifer; daughters, Morgan Elizabeth Larson and Chelsea Elizabeth Clark; sons, Mitchell Alan Larson and Jacob Michael Clark; brother Mark (Sandy) Larson; sisters Kenna (Bruce) Anderson and Kari (Wayne) Carlson; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Scott) Lee and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Rd. St. Johns, MI with the Rev. Jeffrey Heimsoth officiating. Contributions can be made in memory of Manning Larson to the Elise Anderson Fund, University of Chicago, Attn: Callie Johnson, Medical Center Development, 130 E. Randolph, Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60601.
