Mary Jane Morris

Beloved mother and grandmother, Mary J. Morris, born March 6, 1945 to Marty and Marian (Hubbard) Grettenberger, passed away peacefully July 16, 2013. Mary was a devoted family woman who loved and enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She retired after 35 years of service with the DeWitt Post Office. Mary was an avid Red Hatter and enjoyed the company of her many good friends. Mary and her husband, Ron, loved traveling throughout the U.S. and spending time in the company of their “winter family” at Pioneer Creek RV Resort in Bowling Green, Florida. She enjoyed reading, knitting, garage sales/flea markets and working in her yard. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ron (October 10, 2012); parents; and her brother, Thomas Grettenberger. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Keith M. (Kristin) Morris, Brian A. (Keri) Morris and Timothy P. (Rebecca) Morris; grandchildren, Samantha, Juliana, Sara, Emily, Desiree and Jocelyn; sisters-in-law, Mae O. Morris and Mary C. Grettenberger; and brothers-in-law, Peter J. Morris and Daniel J. Morris, as well as nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, in DeWitt. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Sparrow Hospice, 1210 W.
