

Michael Vail Zallman, 37, of Dewitt, MI, born February 19, 1980 in Greenville, MI, left this earth for his heavenly home on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Michael joins his biggest fan, his sister, Julie Kim Zallman, along with loving grandparents, Betty and Fred Zallman and E. Ted Vail. Those left behind to honor and mourn him everyday for the rest of their lives include his devoted parents, Steve and Trudi Zallman; adoring sisters, Jade (Chris) Stier, Megan (Kyle) Roush; the joys of Mike's life, his nephews, Greyson Steven, Gavin Christoper, Jack Michael; and his faithful grandmother, Greta Vail; along with many other loving family and friends. Mike's legacy is one of a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He was a living testament of Romans 1:16. Michael found joy working with the English as Second Language program, and volunteering with a special needs Sunday School class and Lansing City Rescue Mission. He regularly supported organizations close to his heart, a few of which included; Operation Blessings, Samaritan's Purse, She is Safe, Special Olympics and the Make a Wish Foundation. Michael believed that of those that are given much, much is expected. After his cancer diagnosis, Mike spent the last two years of his life living his faith and cherishing his family & friends. Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Roger Straub, will take place 11:00 am Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 W. Saginaw Highway, Lansing, MI with visitation one hour prior. The family will also receive visitors Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 2:00- 4:00 pm and 6:00 -8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI.
