

Robert “Bob” Lee Stahl, 85, of DeWitt, Michigan, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jean Stahl; his son, Robert Stahl and his spouse, Katy Stahl; and his daughter, Vickie Stahl-Campos and her spouse, Victor Campos. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Jeremy Cunningham; Jennifer and Carter McDine; Allie Tajalle; Max and Allie Stahl; Colleen Stahl: Gabrielle Campos and her longtime companion, Conrad; Dominic Campos; and Nicholas Campos; as well as his great-grandchildren, Andrew and Penny Tajalle, Skylar Lee McDine, and Wyatt McDine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Van Stahl and Lydia Irene Stahl; his brothers, Dick and Jerry; and his sisters, Shirley, Rose, Lois, and Sharon.
Bob attended Mt. Pleasant High School, where he was an active athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track. After graduation, he worked in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula helping to build a radar system, before proudly serving four years in the United States Navy.
While home on leave from boot camp, Bob met Eugena “Jean” Hubble, whom he always said was the love of his life. They were married on August 5, 1962, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, devotion, and family.
Bob dedicated 32 years of his career to Fisher Body, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took great pride in providing for his family.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, camping, watching sports, woodworking, and caring for his lawn. Known for his skill and generosity, Bob could build or fix nearly anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, at Redeemer United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
