He was preceded in death by sons, Eugene and James; wife, Marjorie Joan (Stechschulte) Fedewa; and brother, Robert Fedewa.
William was one of seven children and is survived by siblings, Donald, Richard, Stanley, Thomas and Bernard. Also surviving are daughter, Mary M. Fedewa; son, Daniel (Jackie) Fedewa; grandchildren, Molly, Hope; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
William served in the National Guard for eight years in the Photographic Public Information Office. He then purchased and operated a marina on Houghton Lake with his cousin, Robert Sohn. Following this, he and his brother, Stanley Fedewa operated a large dairy farm in DeWitt.
William was a very loving and caring person. He spent many years caring for his handicapped son, Jimmy (James Dennis); and then his wife, Joan after she suffered a severe stroke which left her wheelchair bound.
He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He was very grateful for the help and acts of kindness he received from family members during his times as caregiver.
William was a good Christian in every sense of the word and has requested that in lieu of flowers or donations, acts of kindness and caring be provided for those in need.
Private family services will take place. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grdewitt.com for the Fedewa family.
