

William J. Wilkinson of DeWitt, MI, born July 20, 1963 to William and Virginia (Motheck) Wilkinson, passed away on April 4, 2015 at the age of 51. Bill was a loving father, husband and loyal friend. Family was the most important part of his life. He took part in all his children’s academics and athletics. Bill was the ultimate “Cheer and Football Dad.” He worked as a Fiscal Officer at MSU Extension Health and Nutrition Institute. He was a pet lover, avid snowmobiler, hunter, fisherman, boater and huge MSU fan. He enjoyed time at his cottage. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Gladys Motcheck, and his sister, Linda Ann Spice. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Tina Thomas-Wilkinson; daughter, Ashley Wilkinson; son, Michael Wilkinson; father, William (Shirley) Wilkinson; mother, Virginia Farr; brother, Michael (Cindy) Wilkinson; brothers-in-law, George Spice, Terry Thomas, and Aaron (Rosana) Thomas; mother-in-law, Marilyn (Richard) Maidlow; father-in-law, Terry (Kathy) Thomas; nieces and nephew, Nicholas Wilkinson, Maddison Thomas, Dylan Thomas, and Erin Maria Thomas. A Celebration of His Life, officiated by Rev. Dr. Harold DeMott, will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
