Aline “Doll” Rodrigue, 91, native of McCall and resident of Donaldsonville died in her home on March 8, 2018 surrounded by her family and beloved caregivers. She was a very generous, caring, giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many and will be missed by all. She loved worshiping the Lord and sang with the Ascension Catholic Church Choir for many years. Doll enjoyed all music and loved dancing even at the age of 90. She did everything in the name of the Lord, she loved cooking, entertaining and serving others and she was great at it! She enjoyed playing cards especially bridge and “hand and foot” with her friends and family. She volunteered as a pink lady at Prevost Memorial Hospital for years. She was a former secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Club. Aline is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Raye Beth “Babes” and Fred Logsdon, Aline “Tutie” and Mark Bennett; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles “Fritz” and Becky Oschwald, John “Doeboy” and Sue Oschwald, and Ehren “Wheeler” and Annette Oschwald; 22 grandchildren, Stephanie Oschwald Novak, Lauren Oschwald, Lisa Oschwald Shepler, Kristen Oschwald Brady, Benjamin and Joseph Oschwald, Ryan, William and Michael Logsdon, Lindsey Oschwald Gautreau, Joshua and Matthew Oschwald, Ashley Oschwald Wargo, Ray Oschwald, II, Victoria, Josiah, Peter, Ester, David, Daniel, Samuel and Asher Bennett; 19 great-grandchildren, Emma, Jacob and Ethan Shepler, Kayden, Kennedy, Brooklyn, Braylee, and Kaleb Oschwald, Maxwell “Max” Brady, Ivy Pauli, Emily and Aubrey Gautreau and Blake Rabalais, David and Luke Wargo, Harlyn and Sawyer Logsdon, Liam and Olivia Logsdon; and one sister May Pearl “Bing” Oubre. Preceded in death by her husband, Ray Joseph Oschwald; son, Thomas “Tommy” Oschwald; parents, Aline and Eugene Rodrigue; brothers, Melvin “Chock” Rodrigue, Raymond and Paul Rodrigue; sisters, Dot Berry, Joyce Dinino, Millie Lee, and Eugenie Rodrigue Cedatol. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Ben, Joseph, Joshua, Matthew, and Ray Oschwald,II, Ryan, William, and Michael Logsdon. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10 am until 1:45 pm at Ourso’s Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church at 2 pm celebrated by Fr. Paul Yi and Fr. Matthew Graham. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Fr. Paul Yi for his guidance, ministry, and support; her long time devoted and loving caregivers, Allison Criddle, Gail Simon, Shelly Colón, Kim Hamilton, Rose Dorsey, Catherine Bell, Gerilyn Lewis, Robin Landry, and Gail Jarvis, as well as Debbie Demanuel, RN of Amedysis Home Health and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their tender loving care and support. “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21.
