I left Brusly McCall a long time ago, but the memory of living there and the relatives will always be with me. Annabel had a wonderful family, to sit here and remember each one would take hours. All I can say is there is no greater love I have for Annabel and Nelson and their whole family. God has blessed Annabelle with a great husband, great kids, and a great family.

I wanted to extend my sympathy to the Landry family for the passing of Annabel. To Nelson, Sr., the wonderful relationship you had with her will provide treasured memories as time moves on. My memory of Annabel was the ever-present smile on her face at church, and during my school board campaign visits many years ago. To Nelson and Verlin, please know the two of you are in my prayers for Annabel. Rest assured, she has found a place at the Booray tables in heaven.

She told me that the day I was born her mother went to see her sister (my mother) at the hospital. She was 14 and stayed home to prepare lunch which at that time was a full-blown meal for my grandfather and whoever else he brought home (like one of her brothers). She fried chicken. She didn't say it in so many words but I could tell it was a big deal for her.
