A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, Johnny passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was 58. Johnny loved playing pool and dancing. He is survived by his mother, Irene Gros Acosta; sisters, Gail Phan and husband, Ton and Sandra Acosta Gros and husband, Shelton; and a brother, Elvan Acosta, Jr. and wife, Lena. He was preceded in death by his father, Elvan Acosta, Sr. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Donaldsonville.
