

Julius Wilfred Daigle III, known to his friends and family as “Trip”, left this Earth on April 30th 2023. He was a native of and lifelong resident of Paincourtville, Louisiana and the swamps of Assumption Parish.
Trip graduated from St. Elizabeth Catholic School, Assumption High and Nicholls State University. Trip was an avid outdoorsman with a larger than life personality. He was known for his alligator hunting and was even featured on the Discovery Channel. Trip was a fun-loving guy with a giant heart and his memory will live on through his family.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Dr. Julius and Mildred S. Daigle, his maternal grandparents: Evelyn R. Dunnehoo and Robert J. Rogers, his cousins, Jason Daigle, Scott Cook, Madeline Rogers Brouillette and Brett Batulis along with aunts and uncles, Susan C. Daigle, John S. Rogers, Barbara R. Cook, Evelyn R. Antoon, and James W. Dunnehoo, Jr.
“Trip” is survived by his parents, Glenda and J. Wilfred Daigle Jr.; his brother, Tommy Daigle (Janet); his partner of 13 years, Terry Billiot; niece/godchild, Gabrielle Daigle; nephew, Thomas D. Daigle Jr.; nieces, Meredith and Michelle Daigle and godchild, Richard A. Daigle Jr. as well as aunts and uncles, C.J. Daigle (Patsy), Dickie Daigle (Kate), Barbara D. Batulis (Bryan), Raymond J. Daigle (Wing), Michael J. Daigle (Celeste), Dr. Bobby Daigle (Julie). Cousins, Timmy Daigle, Dr. Bryan Daigle, John Daigle, Richie Daigle, Becky Grazier, Lisa Kleibert, Tiffany Guidry, Kristin Zatta, Bryan “Beau” Batulis Jr., Stephanie Simmons, Stacie Bourgeois, Scottie Brister, Michael Daigle Jr., Christopher Daigle, Samuel Daigle, Bobby Daigle, Denise Rogers Collins, Jennifer R. Antoon, Mitchell J. Antoon III , Christine C.Rivet, Alicia Dunnehoo and Jennifer Dunnehoo.

A visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with entombment to follow in the church cemetery.
