Linda Agnes Gravois Johnson, age 73, of Paincourtville, Louisiana, passed away June 7, 2021. To know Linda was to love her beautiful singing, phenomenal cooking, enthusiastic picture taking—and incomparable gratitude for each new day. A devout Christian, loving wife, and beloved mother and grandmother, she was also a respected colleague who served as longtime radiology department head at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville. She worked as a registered X-ray technologist, office manager, lab assistant, and certified medical assistant and phlebotomist in positions at the Pierre Part Clinic and in clinics in Covington and New Orleans as well. She was also known to many for her years as director of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church choir. Undoubtedly, though, Linda would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family, and the love and prayer that she poured into them was remarkable. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Agnes Gravois, of Donaldsonville. She is survived by her husband, Richard Johnson; daughter Shawn Johnson Gustafson, her husband Ryan and their two children, Joel and Julia, of Houston; daughter Stacey Johnson Vincent, her husband Darren and their two children, Noah and Georgia, of Youngsville; and her sister, Mary Lou Gravois Guillot of St. Amant.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, with a funeral Mass beginning at noon. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Napoleonville, concluding with a reception on the grounds for family and friends.
