

Lois was a loving daughter, wife, sister, godmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a devout Catholic who cherished her faith. Lois was very active in the churches in her area and served as State Regent for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was passionate about her family and loved hosting family gatherings. Lois also enjoyed traveling across the nation and even internationally. Even though she did not have any children of her own, she made sure to spoil all her godchildren, nieces, and nephews. One of her greatest pleasures was taking in nature on her and her husband's property and being mom to several dogs throughout the years. Throughout her life, she worked at various places including: Louisiana Power and Light, Dugas Machine Shop, and Louisiana Department of Education.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three siblings, Helen Devillier (James), Irving Coupel, and Estelle Blanchard, two sister-in-laws, Loretta Coupel and Phyllis Chapman, and numerous godchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dugas; parents, Claude and Cecile Templet Coupel; two siblings, Alvin and Bruce Coupel, and sister-in-law, Donna Coupel.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose, LA from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with interment to follow in the mausoleum.
