A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Mabel was born on May 31, 1937 in Pierre Part, LA, the youngest of twelve children born to Edward John Alleman and Claire Elodie Daigle Alleman. She was entrusted to the Lord's care, peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her home in Donaldsonville. She was 83, a retired Paraprofessional for the Ascension Parish School Board with many years of service to the Donaldsonville ARC and LeBlanc Special Services. Visitation, Thursday March 25, 2021 from 8 AM – Noon, with recitation of the Rosary at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Smoke Bend. Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Fr. Matt Dupre officiating. Entombment in church mausoleum following the funeral service. She was a resident of Donaldsonville since December 1955. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Anne Ourso, four sons and daughters-in-law: David and Monique; Russell and Colleen; Darrell and Angele; and Jeffery and Angie Ourso. Twelve grandchildren: Jeremy Landry (Sara), Katie O. Rouillier (Jeffrey), Kristen L. Bourgeois (Chance), Luke Ourso (Michalyn), Jenna O. Legendre (Adrien), Malana O. Dimm (Jonathan), Russell Ourso II (Christina), Taeler P. Richard (Chase), Matthew Ourso (Jacie), Amanda Ourso, Daniel Ourso, and Shelbi Ourso (fiancée Kolton Domingue). Thirteen great-grandchildren: Caleb & Chandler Bourgeois, Caina & Claire Landry, Owen, Ellyn, & Amelia Ourso, Braylie Rouillier, DJ Collins & Nicholas Ourso, Raina & Charli Dimm, and Kynsley Richard; one great-great-grandchild, Blaysen, and his baby brother arriving in May, her brother, Edgar Alleman, brother-in-law, Norris Dupuis, sister-in-law, Pauline Ourso, sister-in-law, Pearl Alleman and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wilfred A. Ourso, Jr., her parents, seven brothers, Horace, Oscar, Spaulding, Edward, Emile, Sidney, and Sylvester Alleman, three sisters, Clotilde A. Dupuis, Nellie A. Blanchard, and Gladys A. Dupuis. Pallbearers will be Luke, Russell II, Matthew, & Daniel Ourso, and Caleb & Chandler Bourgeois. She was a Past President of the American Legion Post 98 Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed going to the casino, and visiting with her family and friends, including late night calls with her nieces to talk in French.
