A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the age of 74. He was retired from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office where he served as a deputy for 27 years. He was a resident of Chateau D’Ville Nursing Home in Donaldsonville. He is survived by his brothers, Walter Sanchez of Donaldsonville, George Sanchez and wife, Jeannette of White Castle; niece, Dawn Charlet and husband Rex; nephew, Eric Sanchez and wife Vera; and other numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Clemence Diez and Walter G. Sanchez Sr.; and sister, Seraphine Duplechain. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
