She was born on July 4,1932 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, where she lived until her move several years ago to Metairie, Louisiana to live with her beloved sister, Elaine Troxclair Lescale. She worked for many years at Thibaut Motor Company followed by The First National Bank in Donaldsonville.
Vivian was a devote Catholic spending many an hour praying the rosary, the Divine Mercy and Novenas for all of her family and friends. While in Donaldsonville, she was a member of a small faith group and an active parishioner and volunteer at Ascension of Our Lady Catholic Church.
Vivian, although not wealthy, would give anything she had to those in need. Vivian was an independent and strong Christian woman. Many would say she was a firecracker, and how fitting as she was born on the 4th of July.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda Daigle Aucoin and Eddie Aucoin. She is survived by her loving sister Elaine Troxclair Lescale, her nieces Donna T. Laird (Geoff), Susan T. Daniel (Dave), nephew Richard Troxclair (Amy), as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and funeral services on Saturday, June 5. 2021, at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church, 716 Mississippi Street, Donaldsonville, Louisiana 70346. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Catholic Mass at 12:00 p.m. followed by Internment.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivian’s name to Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church, P.O. Box 508, Donaldsonville, LA 70346, are appreciated.
The family would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the wonderful and caring staff of Passages Hospice.
