Barbara May McDaniel

Barbara May McDaniel was born Barbara May McCarty on November 19, 1921 and passed away on July 7, 2015 in Long Beach, California at the age of 93. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to San Diego, California as a child. When the United States entered into WWII Barbara enlisted in the United States Navy Waves. It was during a USO dance that she met and later married her husband of 69 years. She is survived by her husband Herbert Wesley McDaniel; her son Roy William McDaniel and daughter Dee Ann Hall and daughter-in-law Debra Ann Hall; granddaughters Alisha Tuinei Samuels and Asia May Henderson; her great grandchildren Lavasier Taulaai Tuinei, Duane James Anderson Jr., Destiny BreeAnn Tuinei and Jada Ann Stewart. She was preceded in death by her son Scott Martin McDaniel and great granddaughter LaBree Lemina Tuinei.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whites Funeral Home located at 9903 E Flower Street, Bellflower, California 90706. Funeral services will be held at Grace First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. The church is located at 3955 Studebaker Road, Long Beach, California 90808.
