Benjamin J. Gritters

Benjamin J. Gritters passed away to his eternal home in the arms of his faithful Savior on November 6, 2012 in Downey, California at the age of 78. Benjamin was preceded in death, in 1991, by his wife of 32 years, Sandy Gritters. He is survived by his wife, Charry of 11 years; daughters, Laurie Scholten (Bruce), Linda Brands (Gene), Leanne Mata (Joe), Kristie Perkins (Jeff); grandchildren Scott, Sara, Gary, Justin, Jenna, Mandy, Ashley, Jeremiah and Bethany. Generous, hardworking and a love for the Lord, he wanted to serve Him faithfully which gave him a passion for the Bible League and many other charities. He served the Los Angeles area as a well-known Real Estate Agent for over 40 years. He was a dedicated family man as he loved supporting and watching his daughters and grandchildren’s sporting events and choir concerts at Valley Christian High School. He had a love for music, often organizing hymn songs at various churches. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts! Visitation will be held, Monday November 12 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Whites Funeral Home, 9903 E. Flower Street in Bellflower. Memorial service is Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00 am at Bethany Christian Reformed Church, 17054 Bixby Ave., Bellflower. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Providence Christian College, 1539 East Howard Street, Pasadena, California 91104.
