Grandpa, I love you so much and I will miss you a ton. I loved hearing your stories and talking sports with you. You were such an amazing dad, grandpa, uncle, friend, and more. Thank you for all that you did for me and the family and for creating everlasting memories with us. Although you are no longer here I will never forget the way you made me feel. Grandpa, I will miss you so much! I love you and I'm so blessed you got to see my babies and love them. I wish you were still here to watch these little cowboys grow into men you would be proud of, but I know you are with us always and you and grandma will always be watching us and that you will see these boys grow. Roman and Troy said they miss you and love you and they will miss the money pouches you would give them for happy meals every time they visited, and they will miss rides on your walker, and your hugs. Daddy, I miss you so much, I miss you everyday. My heart hurts knowing I won't be getting your daily phone calls anymore or seeing you. But I've been blessed with wonderful memories with the best, most patient daddy. I will always cherish the memories of listening to 'These Boots Were Made for Walking' and walking my little boots all over you, and combing your hair, looking into your beautiful eyes and telling you every color I saw. You are the greatest daddy in the world and I will miss you until I see you again. I love you so much daddy, from here to the sky a million times.

Grandpa I love you very much. You had the best stories, but the one that truly spoke to me was the story of you and Grandma falling in love. The love you guys shared was very rare and one of a kind. I know Grandma was there waiting for you welcoming you home, looking as beautiful as the first time you saw her. I admire the bond and love you two shared raising a family together, navigating the ups and downs of life. I was, and am inspired by that love, my only hope is to be able to give myself to another the way you were able to with Grandma. I love you Grandfather.

Oh my grandpa...I miss you all the time.  Hard to believe you're gone.  I'm so thankful for being able to see you the times I did last year.  Those are memories I'll treasure always.  You were always such a joy to be around...always had the best and funniest stories.  I'm so glad I got your sense of humor!  :)
I'm also so glad that my baby had you for as long as he did...I'm so glad that he knows what a wonderful and amazing man his great grandpa was.

Grandpa, I miss you so much that even writing this breaks my heart. It still feels so surreal, and I keep thinking that I will walk into your room, I'll sit on your walker and we'll watch wilderness shows, talk about adventures and laugh about your funny stories, and when I leave, you'll tell me to be careful, and you'll say "i love you mija". I will miss hearing you tell me I can share some of your vanilla shake because it's nobody's pet. :) To never hear your voice again as long as I am on this earth kills me, but I take peace and comfort in the knowledge that I will see you again and I will hear your voice again. I made a promise to you when I last spoke to you, a promise to you that I will make sure I keep because I know you will be with me every step of the way, and I will never be alone. It's hard to believe that you are no longer physically with us but we find comfort in knowing that your love will always remain in our hearts, memories and prayers. We all miss hearing your stories from the past and reading old newspaper clippings, whether it was about Hitler, girl scouts, sports, we learned so much from you, our own family historian. And who could forget your famous biscuits and potatoes, we always looked forward to Grandpa's breakfast. The best part was we knew it was made and served with love. We wish we had more time to simply talk and laugh, because there were always many laughs...  but for now we will cherish the time we spent did spend with you and look forward to the day we meet again. Pops, you were the only father I ever knew. I was so blessed to have been a part of your family and especially that you welcomed me with open arms!  We had so much fun together. I loved all of my uncles but you will always be my favorite. You are a part of so many of the memories that I hold dear in my heart. Oh daddy, I can't believe you're gone...my heart is beyond broken! All I do is cry daddy because I miss you SO much...I miss kissing and hugging you, I miss taking your vitals, getting you ready, showering you, cooking for you, running errands with you, shopping trips with you, our talks, our secrets, our quiet times together, and most of all praying with you daddy. I knew this day was going to come but never ever did I imagine this pain. My whole life has changed daddy, my job, my purpose is all gone. I don't know how to go on without you daddy and although I know you're in a better place my heart just doesn't get it daddy.
