Dear Carl,

My heart is heavy!  Evelyn kept crossing my mind, so I decided to look her up and found this memorial.  Simply unbelievable!  Immediately, I saw her smile, then recalled the love the two of you shared!  I was proud to be one of her bridesmaids, and although our paths took different directions, it was great to see her 30 years ago.  Through that warm smile, she spoke of you and the kids.  I am so sorry for your loss!  A few years have now passed, but may those happy, loving years, see you past the longevity of grief, into a brighter tomorrow!   Be well!

Rest In Peace Cousin- 

I received the Christmas card on December 28, 2021and I want to send my heart felt and my utmost sincere condolences to the Hannigan and Pizano families. Although we hadn't seen each other since my brother, Manual, passed away, know that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. My beloved cousin will be missed. I was with cousin Evelyn 24/7 almost every weekend while we were growing up. I enjoyed being with her. My Nina and Nino loved having me over and I loved them all dearly.  My mom, Aunt Nellie, would always say "I'm going to pack your suit case, Rita, so you can live with them", because I was always asking to stay over. Once again, I send my love and condolences to everyone.

I will miss cousin Evelyn, she has always been kind and generous to my parent's, Stella and Tony. My deepest condolences to Carl, Marie, Cheryl and Orin. My last fond memory was that she allowed to drive the Lotus. She will be missed, her intelligence, wisdom, strength, kindness and love for her familia.

Evelyn and Carl met us in San Francisco to see our parents off on their first (and only) ocean cruise. Evelyn was a brilliant person and my brother Carl's perfect match in every way. May the family continue to be comforted by the memory of her warmth, caring and love.

Diu and I were deeply saddened by the news about the passing of Evelyn.  You and all in your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Evelyn was such a kind soul, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Im at a loss for words Evelyn was so kind and caring her laugh was memorable. She was so giving  and generous. The wonderful  dinners on Sunday nights the food the wine the stories, the Donner lake vacations  taking her on boat rides  with the whole family
  I will always cherish those times until we meet again number 1 . 

Evelyn was my first cousin on the Pizano side of the family.  She was older than me and whenever I saw her on special occasions at my grandma Rafaela's house she was friendly, kind, and always had a beautiful smile.  This is how I remember her then and how I see her now and forever.

To Carl, your children, Ann and Marie:  My family, Brian, Paul, and Jaclyn extend to you our deepest sympathies.


I have always enjoyed the company of Evelyn. My favorite sister in law, my only sister in law. We had  many trips to Solvang just to get  her  favorite danish. While there  a little shopping and wine. She was always a gracious host . Evelyn never forgot a birthday or any special occasion. Many great family memories.  She will leave a hole in our lives. 

You will be missed.

I would like to say thank you to my extremely loving and caring sister, Evelyn. It was an honor to know and live with her for so many years.  God blessed me with her as my sister.

I will continue to pray for our deceased family, as she would in daily prayers. Until we meet again. You left us with so many wonderful memories. May God bless you.

Miss you my dearest Friend!!! May your soul rest in peace!!!

Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same. Evelyn was that person who met me as a stranger and took me as her dear friend. 

She was a kind, generous, ever ready to help, and above all beautiful soul. Never I have seen her upset or angry. Always smiling and ready with a witty joke. 

She is the reason we bought our first home in the same track , she was the one who treated Mit like her own grandson, showering gifts and presents for any and all occasions. Taking me for my numerous doctor's appointments and checking on the house when we were away.  Will always remember the chats and talks that we shared to and from work. 

She was my American Mother, Dearest Friend and a Confidant.
I HAVE LOST ANOTHER SOUL CLOSEST TO MY HEART!!

I will not say GOODBYE my friend, for you and I will meet again in some far off land !! I LOVE YOU and will MISS YOU forever!!!

To my friends and family:

It is truly an honor and a blessing for me to have known and deeply loved Evelyn for 50 years, with 45 of those years as her husband.  I do not have one memory to share, I have a lifetime of them.  

My grief is too fresh, and this space is too small for me to fully express my love and my gratitude for this remarkable woman, who chose to spend her life with me.  The departure of my true soulmate is an immeasurable loss for my family and myself, but I am forever grateful for every moment of our long and loving relationship.  

While I cannot possibly pick one memory out of our long and happy life together, I invite everyone who knew this wonderful woman to share with all of us how she may have touched your lives, as she certainly touched and molded ours.
