

Evelyn Shubin was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Evelyn will be remembered as an outstanding individual.
Evelyn was raised with two. She had Carolyn, Jon. Evelyn was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Evelyn enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Evelyn was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her AA at Cerritos College. Her favorite courses were Business.
Empathic and loyal, Evelyn was committed to making her new family happy.
Evelyn worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Evelyn was blessed with two, Carolyn,(daughter) Jon (step son). Another blessing for Evelyn was the gift of two, Cheryl, Brian.
Fortunately, Evelyn enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Evelyn worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Volunteer for Norwalk Police Dept. And Star Center. Evelyn always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Evelyn enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were Bingo at Belmont Senior Place. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Throughout her life, Evelyn was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. Throughout his later years, Evelyn was an active member of the Police Department.
Though she never set out to gain individual recognition, Evelyn was given accolades for her many and varied accomplishments throughout her life. Some of her most prestigious awards included Lots for being a volunteer for the Police Department.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Alaskan Cruise.
Evelyn was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Sweetie, Canary, and Charlie dog. They were best friends for ten years (dog) eight years ( bird).
Evelyn passed away on April 4, 2009 at Bellflower, California. She is survived by grandchildren Cheryl, Brian, Great Grandchildren Jeremy,Tim,Chris,Valerie,Matt. Services were held at Whites Funeral Home. Evelyn was laid to rest in Riverside National Cemetery.
Simply stated, Evelyn was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Evelyn leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Evelyn Shubin.
