Tamara was the older of Sam and Trudy Taylor's two children. She attended school in Norwalk, graduating from Excelsior Union High School in 1952.
After graduating from Long Beach City College she married the love of her life, Floyd Draper (whom she met on a blind date). They were married for 61 1/2 years, living in the same house for 60 of those years.
She was a homemaker, an accomplished pianist, and an Avon lady for over 50 years. She touched the lives of relatives, neighbors and members of the community around her.
Tamara is predeceased by her husband Floyd, and is survived by her children Paul (Valerie) Draper and Kimberly (Dennis) Carll, brother Tom Taylor, six grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
