Died on April 20, 2016 in Hamilton at the age of 87. Predeceased by Isabelle, his beloved wife for over 55 years. Loving father of Jill Hamilton (Philip Wisener), David (Karen Pinsent) and Christopher. Survived by his many Houston and Sanderson nieces and nephews. Alan was an honourable and generous man who deeply loved his family and time spent at CapAlan on Lake Scugog. He was a Major with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist, 320 Charlton Ave. W. Hamilton. In lieu of flowers a donation to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
