Arlene Jeanette Kearn

8 January 1935 to 12 September 2025

Kearn, Arlene Jeanette (née Arklie), 90, passed away September 12, 2025 in Hamilton, Ontario.

Born in Wolfville to the late Ernest and Nellie (Moren) Arklie, Arlene’s childhood was spent in Nova Scotia and British Columbia. She met her late husband, Edward (Ted) in Halifax and they returned to his native England to start their family. Shortly thereafter they returned to Canada, ultimately settling in Ontario. From here, Arlene and Ted continued to explore the world with trips throughout the Caribbean, Europe, UK, North and Central America, and South Korea.

As well as her enthusiasm for travel, Arlene will be remembered for her keen sense of humour, love of animals, skills in the kitchen, and the many years she volunteered in her community.

Much loved and adored by her family, Arlene is greatly missed by her two daughters and her grandchildren: Jacquelyn Genovy (Shaun) and her daughters Caitlin (Colin) and Hayley; and Kathryn Kearn and her son Aidan and her daughter Hannah.

She is predeceased by her brother Harold, and sisters Vivian and Catherine (Power).

The family would like to thank everyone for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
