Charles "Charlie" Beck

It is with deep sadness that the family of Charlie announces his passing at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in his 59th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Georgia (nee Grisdale). Much loved father of Charlie Jr. and his wife Christine. Charlie will be missed by his brother Bob (Liz) of Ottawa and Charlett Aulenback (the late Leroy) of Falkland Ridge, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Marion Beck and his in-laws George and Jean Grisdale. Much loved brother-in-law of Bob and Heather Grisdale, Bill and Val Grisdale, Ed Howell (Penny predeceased Oct 2011), Mary and Bill Greenwood, Bonnie Rivers (Gord predeceased August 2011), Evelyn Grisdale and Gord Price and Marjorie Kildare. Many nieces and nephews and their families will sorely miss Uncle Charlie. He also leaves to mourn his friends Greg and Taylor Baxter and their daughter Lainey and all his morning coffee buddies at Valley City Variety along with Vivienna, Guy and Cooney Jung. Charlie was a long time member of the Canadian Vintage Modifieds Car # 79, and a faithful 40-year employee of SAS Petroleum Technologies. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Tuesday February 7, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Dundas Baptist Church, 201 Governors Road, Dundas on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to Sick Childrens Hospital, Toronto or Ronald McDonald House, Hamilton.
