Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29th at the age of 89, at Shalom Manor in Grimsby. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Barb (Arend) ter Keurs, Joyce (Rick) Dyment, and Wendy (Tony) Kizlyk. Grandpa was so proud of his grandchildren – Matthew (Julie) ter Keurs, Anthony (Tanya) ter Keurs, Brandon & Lindsey Dyment, and Michael (Katie Genge), & Ryan Kizlyk, Cherysh Vantol, and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Mary (Rie) in 2000 and son Rick in 2007. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to the amazing staff of Shalom Manor for their excellent care of Dad for the past two years. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Wednesday, April 1st from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Westdale Reformed Church, 201 Paradise Road North, Hamilton on Thursday, April 2nd at 11 am with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shalom Manor, the Alzheimer’s Society, or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
