Edith "Dina" Margaret Knight

(October 10, 1917 to September 1, 2012)

As the result of a fall and subsequent complications, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother (Mommy) at the Hamilton General Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband Percy Reginald Knight (1990), her wonderful mother Hazel Runion (1995), her father Ernie Oscar Runion (1958), brother Reginald Runion (1994) and brother Ronald Runion (2007). Dina leaves behind her daughters Dyanne Bebas, Marilyn Rogers (Frank), her son Bryan Reginald Knight and her youngest daughter Cheryl Navarrete (Daniel Cadenas). She is also survived by three grandchildren Bryan (Robin), Michael (Jen) and Marc and 3 great-grandsons Avery, Aaron and Gabe. She will be sadly missed by Debbie Hall and Al Chamberlain (Cayuga) who considered her to be their Mother as well. We all have fond memories of her continued spunk and zest for life, her laughter, her unselfishness towards others, always there to help and understand when you needed her. Dina had been through several illnesses over the past 10 years but was always determined to get back up and live again. This time was different; as if she had chosen her time to now “rest in peace” and join all her family and friends who have gone before her. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Dina’s life will be held at her home, in which she shared with Cheryl and Daniel, 2490 Governors Rd., Copetown, on Sunday, September 23rd starting at 1 p.m.
